Clement Desalle of the Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team qualified third for tomorrow's twelfth round of the FIM World MXGP Motocross Championship at Pangkal Pinang in Indonesia.

The Belgian started fifth and showed great determination to move forward to third at half distance in the twenty-four minute race on a track which was drying out rapidly after heavy rain on Friday.

Clement Desalle: "Third on the gate for the races is not so bad, especially as I didn't have a great feeling this morning after a tough night due to the jet lag. I felt better and better as the day wore on and by the time of the qualifying race I had a good feeling. I was in fifth or sixth position at the beginning of the qualifying race; I had a good battle with Cairoli and we both passed Gajser and Paulin."

After a small crash on the opening lap his teammate Julien Lieber recovered from nineteenth place to earn tenth place at the finish.

Adam Sterry, the sole representative of the F&H Racing Team in the MX2 class in the absence of Ruben Fernandez who has a wrist injury and did not travel to Asia, qualified eleventh.
